Getting to the Town and Country by Plane

The best commercial airport to fly into San Diego for Westercon 68 / Conjecture 13 / Conchord 27 is the San Diego International Airport (SAN, KSAN, Lindbergh Field).  Passengers arriving at the San Diego airport can find shuttles operated by Super Shuttle and other companies that can serve the Town and Country.  The hotel does not run its own shuttle.

From Terminal 1 you must cross the skybridge and take either the escalators or the elevators to street level. From Terminal 2, use the pedestrian crosswalk conveniently located outside the Terminal 2 Baggage Claim Area to access the Transportation Plaza. A Transportation Coordinator will place you with the first available shuttle, unless you specify a particular shuttle company.

More details and the phone numbers of the various shuttle operators can be found on the San Diego International Airport website at http://www.san.org/Parking-Transportation/Shuttles

For anyone flying in on a private aircraft, there are two airports that are both somewhat convenient.

Montgomery Field is located a few miles north of the hotel.  There are two bus stops along Aero drive near the automobile entrances for Montgomery Field, but they may be a short walk from aircraft parking.  Public transit directions may be found on Google Maps.

Gillespie Field is located in suburban Santee.  However, there is a Green Line trolley station located adjacent to the airport.  This station may be a bit of a walk from aircraft parking.  Take the Green Line towards San Diego and disembark at the Fashion Valley Transit Station.  From the Fashion Valley Transit Station, walk south (away from the mall), under the trolley tracks and cross the river on the bridge.  Directly across from the bridge is a walkway that leads directly to the hotel.
